Belly Button Infection

Having LUPUS plus being on prednisone have made me susceptible to any kinds of infection. There was a time when the doctors warned me not to get close to anyone who has colds, fevers and cough. They even advised me to wear mask. But being me, I do not really follow their orders. Anyway, last December, when the husband was home he took notice of my belly button. According to him it is a bit deformed. I told  him I noticed it too but just shrugged my shoulders about it because I thought it’s no biggie. Happens all the time. Yet, the husband told me to consult my doctor. Now I am bothered. So I searched the internet and I realized that belly button infection occurs because :

If you want your belly and naval not to get infected, you should know the major causes of belly button infection. Followings are major causes of belly button infection.

* Wearing the jewelery stud of ring around the naval and tattooing your belly.
* Unreasonably touching or rubbing naval.
* Wearing tightened jeans or belt for several hours.
* Carelessness in washing the naval regularly with a great care.
* Piercing of belly skin for decorating the naval.
* Touching and rubbing the belly button with dirty hands.
* Taking bath in polluted waters.

I am not sure if I have the infection but to be on the safe side I am planning to ask my doctor about it.
