Against DUST Mites

Posted Oct 06 2009 10:00pm

I think I mentioned here that the little girl is having some itchy moments before the storm wreck havoc in our city. There are bruises on her arms and legs because she kept on scratching the itch. The day after the storm we went to the pedia and I showed her and she told me that it seems that the itch is caused by dust mites.

Unfortunately according to her, dust mites no matter how clean your house is, would always exist. But there are ways to lessen its appearance. One of which is ironing your mattresses. That’s one of the tip that I would forever be grateful that I received. You see, when I was growing up in the province I always see my mom putting the pillows and mattresses under the heat of the sun. According to her that would kill those bugs and insect that are residing on them. So now I follow what she was doing. And I asked the pedia if the sun really works. She told me yes but for mattresses she told me to iron it. That way I don’t have to carry it outside. Which is way to heavy for me.

Last week, when I was changing the covers I iron the mattress and I think it works. Anevay is no longer scratching her arms and legs. Oh boy I am so grateful. Now, I plan to ironed it every week to make sure the dust mites would go away. haha.
