A day of endless doctor appointments

Posted Jun 22 2011 1:01pm

So yesterday I took the day off from work because I had doctor appointments scheduled all day. I had an appointment with the opthamologist to get a baseline on my vision for the Plaquenil side effects. Then my weekly rheumy appointment, which went well. Then I had a quick lunch and off to the pharmacy.

Then the fun appointment. My OBGYN to have my Paraguard removed and Mirena put in. My hemoglobin was getting dagerously low (10) so my rheumy ordered my cycles stopped. Mirena is one of the easiest ways to do so. Now, the removal was not so bad, just a pinching feeling. The insertion however, was WAY more painful that it was when I had the Paraguard put in. Holy owie. But, it's done and I should start to have the effects in a month or so as far as my cycle.

Today, back to work. Blah!
