I really like this approach because it is solution, rather than problem, focused. It challenges the idea of dieting and takes a stance that there is no "good" and "bad" or "right" and "wrong", but finding a personalized, healthy, positive lifestyle that works for you. This is such a great idea, because i think too often the words like "bad foods" that go along with dieting create a self-punitive, rather than embracing attitude toward our bodies, food, and life.
What I've read about this book, I really like! It's approach is similar to Weight Watchers, in that it teaches you how to make right choices instead of just limiting yourself from certain foods. It seems simple and easy to follow, but most importantly, it seems like it's realistic in its ideals - something that people are going to be able to stick with and follow!
I'm so happy to see a book that talks about lifestyle changes and making choices. It's great to read about feeling healthy and enjoying life instead of something that lays out a complicated regime that requires a full time personal assistant and an in house chef to comply with.
This book gives good practical advice that is of use to everyone wishing to live a healthier and happier life.

I've been struggling lately with an overwhelming desire for my comfort foods, especially soft pretzels, or if I can't have those, just a desire to eat something at the end of the day, just before bed. This tends to happen when I'm surfing the net or watching television.
