Novella Spa and Imports is one of those places -- you know the kind. As soon as you step in, youâ??re immediately smacked with an urge to buy the entire store, particularly if your tastes tend toward the exotic and rare. Plump, jewel-studded cushions propped atop butter-smooth chaise lounges have a languorous look and seem to entreat customers to plant their bottoms down. Itâ??s a browsing area conveniently situated to set the mood for an impending indulgence at Novellaâ??s luxurious spa. Unsurprisingly, Novellaâ??s interior and philosophy are healing, aromatic, and inviting -- even the resident hair salon borrows liberally from the wellness ethos at the center of the spaâ??s treats. The menu, smattered with Ayurvedic offerings and aromatherapy body treatments, reads like the description of a garden of earthly delights. Green tea/rose/seaweed facials and sludgy plantomere treatments (algae-based, with antibacterial properties) flank signature pleasures like the Javanese Beauty ritual: a full-body massage

I've shopped in here and they carry interesting merchandise - Asian, Indian statues, and things you that would be good for your meditation practice. It's dark inside and quiet, very calming. Great ambiance.

Learning to Relinquish Control by Nirmala N. Nov 13 07 6:35pm It's now an accepted truism: when you resist what life offers you, good or bad, it can lead to some serious mental, spiritual, and even physical blockages. I have learned that the key to happiness lies in relinquishing control over life. This means taking responsibility for the things we can...
