I am Lissa, I'm 19 years old and I am profoundly deaf, I have been deaf practically from birth after I was born premature at 28 weeks weighing 2lb 1oz, the medication I required is though to have damaged my hearing. I have a cochlear implant that helps me to hear- Nucleus Freedom. I got implanted at the grand old age of ten, hehe. I have been implanted for 9 years and doing very well!!
