Bio

I'm an almost-30 creative professional living and loving life in San Francisco, CA. I have an inspiring story to tell, and a lot of interesting life experience to share. I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis on my 27th birthday, and since that day I've been on a quest to achieve that elusive concept that we who live within the culture of the patient crave so badly -- wellness. I've learned that it's a balance of physical and emotional well-being, and I've learned that I CAN heal myself. With effort! I've learned that how I live my life and what I do and put into my body is just as important as the medicine I take and the doctors I see. And I've learned that I absolutely cannot be "well" if I'm not happy. Over the course of the last few years, I had several failed attempts to find my center... Lost time and lost hope. But I learned something from every failed attempt. Finally, I came to accept that I had to leave a lot of things behind and start over, in a way, if I was really going to fight this disease and feel my body come back. And it's working -- in many ways, I now feel better than before the MonSter. In many ways, it's the worst AND best thing to ever happen to me...
