Treat the Person Not Their Diagnosis: The Only Approach That Makes Sense

Posted Aug 07 2009 7:15pm

Dr. Robert Boydston, founder of the Boydston Institute in Fresno, CA, comments on his core philosophy:

Happy people It seems silly that I would have to write a post with this headline. Unfortanately I frequently get feedback from patients, past and present, telling me that until they sought treatment here at the Boydston Institute, they were never treated this way.

It has become very typical these days to schedule an appointment with a doctor or specialist, spend 5 minutes with them describing a set of symptoms you are concerned about, and then immediately get handed a prescription as you are hurried out of the office.

Is it likely that the drug you were given is going to help restore function? Is it likely that the drug is getting to the root of the problem? Is it likely that the drug is going to be side-effect free?

You and I both know that the answer to these questions are an astounding NO. Chronic patients with things like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, adrenal stress syndrome, etc...cannot be treated this way. That is why our philosophy at the Boydston Institute is to Treat The Patient, Not Their Diagnosis. We take the time to create a functional diagnosis, and we look at EVERYTHING, ALL AT ONCE. It is our attention to detail, and individual focus on each individual that allows us to get results, where others may have failed.

If you would like to see how our approach may help your chronic health condition like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, or Autoimmune Thyroid, then call us at 559-297-9218. Or if you would like toContact Us via email, we will respond in a timley matter.
