The iPhone Medical App Review looks like a useful site for those looking for iPhone medical applications. Many of the applications in the App store are unfortunately “Buy before you Try” rather than “Try before you Buy”. While it’s true that some apps are cheap at 99 cents, others are more costly. So instead of just parting with your hard earned pennies purchasing apps, it would be good to read third party reviews first. Review sites like these also provide information on applications that one may not be aware of. I must say some of the iPhone medical applications look great. iMurmur for instance looks amazing and I’m sure many medical students in their clinical years will benefit from this. At 99 cents it’s also pretty affordable! It would be better if the reviewer also linked to the author’s homepage and not just the iTune Appstore link, e.g. for iMurmur it’s Phalanx (thanks to Google). Check out also their Best and Most Useful Medical Apps for the iPhone or iPod Touch I think it’s a great start and I hope the reviews can keep coming in!
