Farewell Palm, Hello HP Palm

Posted Jul 01 2010 3:54pm

On July 1, Palm as a company ceased to exist. They are now part of HP and with that a new chapter begins. The mobile division will still be headed by Palm’s CEO, Jon Rubinstein, and HP plans to “double down” with WebOS so expect to see new exciting products driven by this great OS, including the anticipated HP Hurricane tablet . Palm continues to push out WebOS updates on it’s devices and with every update we see continuing enhancements and improvements. There is rumored to be a big (2.0) update later this year so that would be one to look forward to.
Great news for Physician developers – Palm has abolished Developer fees as well as App submission fees so you can submit your apps to the official catalog (free as well as paid) for free listing. So it’s never been a better time to get started and it’s easy with Ares , if you have been following my series of posts on Creating your own medical apps for WebOS . Get on the HP Palm WebOS bandwagon now!!
