my name is carmen and i had ACM surgery Aug. 20, 2008 and was diagnosed Aug 15, 2008...my surgery was done by a traveling neurosurgeon Dr. McMorrow as well as my diagnoses...i got an answer to my troubling pains after 49 years of headaches, vertigo, falling, fatigue, memory lose, decrease in vision, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, IBS, MVP, palpitations, ringing in ears...and the list goes on...after surgery i realized for the first time that the world i was living in wasn't normal...it actually did stay still and noises were real loud...it was amazing...well after 6 months of post-op i have had several set backs to include hospitalization...spiked blood pressure reaching 209/187 and swelling and inflammation in the brain which lead to an agressive steriod regiment...since being out of the hospital i have regressed in physical therapy but more over in speech (cognitive) therapy...everything starting over or better yet trying to retrieve what i already know...i have not had my 6th month check up beings that my surgeon is no longer in the area...i am really interested in contacting the Institute to get answers on what is going on right now...i seem to not be able to get them here...ithank you for sharing your progress...oh by the way i am a teacher Math...6, 7, 8th grade LD...still not in the classroom...thanks for the words again..i am looking forward to getting info from the institute

Hey Leslie: My name is Angel Strange... yes that really is my name... LOL. I live in Nashville. I see that you went to TCI for treatment. I too have requested an appt. there after being somewhat frustrated by the docs in Nashville. Did you have any luck with docs in Nashville; is there any one you would recommend? Or... should I just continue on my journey to see the folks at TCI? Any thoughts? Angel angelstrange@bellsouth.net |
