Is there a certain kind of food I can eat it that will help reduce the Candida in my lower intestines?

Foods with natural probiotics may help.  Garlic, leeks, onion and barley are rich in "fructooligasacharides", or FOS.  FOS is a helpful fiber that works like  a probiotic to enhance the growth of healthy bacteria in the digestive system.  The more healthy bacteria you have in your digestive system, the less unhealthy bacteria can thrive there.

Reducing simple carbohydrates is an important step (processed floured products, high sugar = > 5 g per serving),  and adding whole grains, beans, vegetables and lean proteins.  This may take time to suppress the overgrowth enough to reduce the yeast population.  www.diabetescoaching.net

A lot of nonsense is talked about candida, probiotics and prebiotics.

The most reliable way is first to find exactly whats going on down there using a  comprehensive parasitology stool analysis - how much good, how much bad then you know exactly whats going on .

There's millions of hundreds of types of yeasts and bacteria - candida is only a small part of the picture and is far less often the actual problem when you look at the FACTS

Once you know exactly what is going on you can specifically target and get rid of the bad bacteria (lab tests and advises solutions) and then re-balance the good with specific, therapeutic grade probiotics.

Then you should support a healthy culture of good bacteria in the gut with foods rich in the prebiotics oligofructose and inulin such as chicory, jerusalem Artichoke, some bitter salad leaves, garlic, onions, leeks, asparagus and grains rich in soluble fibre such as oats.
