Bio

i live on a tiny tropical island in the middle of the pacific ocean called Kauai. i moved here in 1998 to continue pursuing what would end up being a 9 year managing career starting at theaters along the blustery I-90; dating back to my freezing teens and twenty something college days.

since no spectacular melt-down happened at the turn of 2000 i created my own by entering into a grueling process of immigration to Victoria, Vancouver Island BC starting with volunteer work for adult survivors of abuse, English Teach/Travel and Yoga training.
i received an English teaching certification and Reiki Masters certification in Canada whilst frolicking about parts unknown in The Great White North. the campaign to try to love winter undoubtedly failed and so i busted out for the warmer climate. dignity in tact, humbleness in full form.
i moved on to receive my Yoga certification through a place called Ananda, where my teacher was certified, located in the Sierra Nevada Foothills, California in November 2002.

since then i traveled teaching, practicing and volunteering in United States, Canada, Hawaiian islands to date. i spent two years delving into knowledge about nutritional herbs and supplements in an organic health store while working at the YWCA Domestic Violence/Rape Crisis residency program doing intakes and telephone crisis. two more years followed at the Mental Health Kokua residency program. in partnership daily with their social workers i assisted Kauai's homeless and mentally ill to learn positive independent life skills. i had also been tutoring the illiterate and foreign speakers of our community to read while distance learning with David Frawley's Ayurvedic Institute. in spare time i began teaching yoga at sunrise, attempting to stand up on a surf board and voluntarily jump out of small single-engine aircraft. good thing i like school.
with more changes upon me, in 2006 i made the life-altering journey abroad to Asia. thats where i began teach with an international Yoga company called PURE YOGA in Hong Kong and Taipei City, Taiwan taking on more Yoga experiences. i picked up about five mandarin words getting me to n fro in some of the wildest and strangest cab rides one would ever take. happy to have giggly students with some of the most oddly flexible slender bodies on the planet. lucky to have some (understatement) KTV and poker skills in tow, i managed to make a few more life long friends. they not only helped me find proper eats, they also helped me make it out of unlimited-drinking-for-$3 bars such as WAX, all-nighters glued to the World Cup with many a hookah and back onto my flights on time in between. more humble pie.

currently, i reside as a single sassy lady on Kauai teaching my 5th year of therapeutic Yoga to senior students, busy practicing Yoga and meditation while enjoying an organic natural lifestyle to the very fullest. all three eyes wide open to who may become a future long-life complement.
