Remedies for uremia and azotemia

My husband has been diagnosed with kidney failure but not ready for

dialysis for the next 4 years (according to the doctor). He suffers from the

symptoms of uremia, extreme fatigue and weakness, occasional nausea,

all over malaise. Doctor says that is common and must be accepted. I am 

wondering if there are any remedies which would relieve these symptoms?
