Low Blood Pressure in PKD Patients on Dialysis

When PKD develops into kidney failure, dialysis is applied. But many patients who are dialysis will suffer from many side-effects. Low blood pressure is one of the common side effect. Why do PKD patients experience low blood pressure on dialysis?

PKD is a progressive disease. With the development of the cysts, the kidney function is affected. When the kidneys are not able to filter the waste products and toxins, they will accumulate in the blood and affect the overall healthy of the body. When PKD progresses into kidney failure, dialysis is used to remove the extra waste and water in the body.
