Gastric Viral Disturbance

Posted Aug 24 2008 8:01pm

“Some kind of gastric viral disturbance” was what the

Resident from the hospital told me my problem was as I vomited foam.

That was yesterday afternoon. I can hardly remember Thursday night. It’s a blur of burping and vomiting and no sleep.

Then, sometime around last night, everything was calm. I slept; although Susan said I was talking in my sleep and snoring much louder than usual. I awoke this morning to find that the family had had pizza last night and that the kitchen hadn’t been cleaned in 3 days.

What would have taken me 10 minutes to clean when I was young and healthy took almost 1½ hours to put right. I watched a bit of TV, made 2 eggs for breakfast, had no complaints from my stomach and decided that all was well with the world once again.

The service guy for the dialysis machine came by on Friday. He fiddled around with things while was noisily sick in the bathroom. The diagnosis? “Nothing wrong that I can find”. He thinks the TMP problems are caused by extreme blood pressure drops on my part. Somehow I must try to avoid them, I guess.
