I am 34 y/o and have been experiencing a lowered eGFR (62-67) that was picked up 1 year ago. I have been through extensive testing with a kidney specialist who stated that my tests were all unremarkable except that I was showing as dehydrated despite drinking a lot of fluid. The final diagnosis was therefore that I probably had less glomerular than the average person and my kidney's were fine.
I do know however that my kidney function used to be above 90 so I am not sure how relevant this diagnosis is.
I am gluten intolerant but do still eat it more than I should and I was wondering whether this may affect kidney function? I also have experienced long-term stress (over a decade) and chronically hyperventilate daily and have also been diagnosed with inappropriate sinus tachycardia. I am wondering whether any of these factors may be impacting on my kidney health?
