cheese-shop

OK, so for this you have to put on your best, Frances McDormand, “Fargo” voice. . .  So we’re in this little cheese shop in a small town here in Wisconsin.. getting some cheese curds after paddling much of the day.  The woman behind the counter tries to get us to purchase their special cheese curd breading… “It’s a tradition in Wisconsin” she says, “to deep fry cheese curds, don’t cha know.”.. Now I’m not sure if she added the “don’t cha know” at the end of that sentence, but if not, that’s the way I heard it.  I’m also not sure deep frying qualifies as a “tradition”.   “So” she says, “What are those things on your car?” “Sea Kayaks.”  We respond.  ”See Kayaks?”, she pauses.  ”Hmmm, I’ve never heard of those before. They don’t look like regular kayaks… Huh. You learn something new every day, don’t you?.”…

Yup.  YER DARN TOOTIN’
