My name is Julia Schopick, and I am a medical/health advocate and author, who is committed to helping people change the ways in which they relate to our medical system. My commitment stems from the years I spent as wife to my wonderful late husband, Tim Fisher, who was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor in 1990. (He died in 2005.) Together, we experienced our medical system at its technological best and its chaotic, uncaring worst. I created both my blog, HonestMedicine.com, and my book (HONEST MEDICINE: Effective, Time-Tested, Inexpensive Treatments for Life-Threatening Diseases) in honor and memory of Tim, who has been my inspiration since the day we met nearly 30 years ago.
