I am 55 years old, used to be active, but now with DDD I am not as active as I would like to be.  I found out 3 weeks ago I needed my gallbladder removed, and then I found out that I have diverticulosis.  Gallbladder removed last Monday, diverticulosis confirmed in the hospital as well.  I am scheduled for 2 more surgeries.  I have a peek cage and bone grafts in my neck at C5,6 and 7.  That has taken a lot of the headaches away and has made things safe for me in other ways.  I am mostly interested in my diverticulosis at this time.  I can handle most things, but this one is a hard one for me to deal with.  There are so many ideas running around out there.  I feel I need to get a gastro doc.  I would like of course the best local one.  Hope to find this doctor within a very short time.  My goals are loosing weight even with foot issues, back pain, major nerve damage on my left side, and I want to hike again, I would like to know if I can again kayak.  I have that on my list for my wonderful doctor.  But this stomach stuff is the hardest.  Maybe because I don't know enough.  So, maybe I am old, but I so want to get back in shape and feel good again, walk with nature and enjoy my time here with my incredible husband.
