Joseph Alban believes that combining a caring relationship with traditional treatment skills make for the most effective healing process. Dedicated to the traditional apprenticeship style and classical Chinese medicine, he traveled to China to complete a hospital residency at the First Traditional Chinese Medicine Teaching Hospital of the Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. "In China I saw how the traditional doctors use both their clinical treatment skills and the clinical relationship to help their patients. This training still influences me today and remains the backbone of my practice." His practice focuses on helping patients living with chronic illness and pain with individualized acupuncture, Tui Na, and herbal recommendations.
