Knee replacements for people with history of frequent Urinary Tract Infection

Posted by nishc

Is it advisable for people with osteoartihritis and very frequent recurrence of UTI to even consider Knee replacement surgery ? What are the possible complications due to this ? Should they even consider this surgery or consider alternative therapies because risks of infection to the replaced joint becomes very high. Or can it be easily managed ? Trying to figure out if it is too risky for my 62 year old mother.
