I was diagnoised with trigeminal neuralgia 12 years ago,I tried all the meds there were to no avail so i decided to have the MVD operation. The doctor cut and took out 60% of my nerve. The pain was worst than ever. I than had a nerve removed over my left eye and was pain free for 18 months and then the pain returned. After this I had the GAMMA KNIFE which did nothing. I am now in pain every day all day at different degrees. I am taking 6000 mg. of neuriton daily. it seems to help sometimes. My left side of my face is numb from my lower lip to the top of my head. I have tried all types of meds up to the point of giving myself shots of morphine. This helped but I could not function. I will add more at another time.
