My name is Jeffrey Holliday and I am a Marine Gunnery Sergeant. I have a confession to make concerning my running. About two months back I stopped running and have only run about six times since. I ran a half marathon and experienced a complete water washout with in the first three miles of the 13.1 mile run. It was extrememly hot that morning and I lost a lot of sweat. The run did not go very well for me. This half was my forth one and so how I finished only three minutes shy of the one before it. In the third half that I ran, I came in second in my age class. This was a huge deal for me and most of all it was an ego booster. I was deployed to Iraq prior to my third run and was able to run just about every day there. The temps were extreme and I got used to it. I came home in August, ran that run in October and came in second. This time I thought that I could run anywhere any time. Not true by a long shot. I have been humbled and reduced to ashes, however I have just started getting back in shape and ready to destroy the highway.
