I am currently primary caregiver to my 89 year old father-in-law who has esophageal cancer which as metastized to the lymph nodes and liver.  He received radiation for fifteen days.  No other measures were taken due to other health issues (heart problem and one kidney).  My father and mother-in-law are both living with my husband and me.

My father-in-law has a PEG tube, but is currently taking liquids and pureed foods orally.  He keeps complaining that his stomach is overly full.  He insists that the PEG is the source of the stomach discomfort.  He is taking Zofran for nausea.  The Gastro doctor says the nausea and stomach discomfort is a result of the liver and esophageal cancers.

Does anyone out there have any experience with a similar situation?
