I was a vegetarian for 11 years. After that I was on a high carb low fat diet for years another 10 years. None of these diets worked for me long term. As a vegetarian, I wasn't getting enough protein and had very little muscle mass. On low fat high carb, I was constantly hungry and had to do an insane amount of exercise to stay thin.
In May 2009, I switched to a Low Carb High Fat Whole Food diet. I lost 15 pounds and I'm never hungry. I'd like to lose another 5-10 pounds.
