I am fifty years old. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in the late 1990's but I have dealt with depression off and on since my teens. I want to encourage other depression sufferers to move away from the victim mentality that goes along with the bio-medical theories of depression, and to try to learn to take responsibility for our own moods.
