I had a bad sleep, the phone rang at 4:30 am and woke me out of a dead sleep.
When the phone rings at 4:30 am, it is never good news. Before I picked it up, I was thinking...did someone die?
It turns out it was Alyssa's friend playing with text messaging that can be forwarded to a phone line. It was good that it was not bad news, but it was bad in that I couldn't get to sleep afterwards. I woke up really tired and felt it in the late afternoon, and I told Alyssa to talk to her friend.
Today's workout was a easy 35 minute run with 4 layers of clothing, including a big woolly sweater that I use for Winter running. It was a special running route I took, one that I did before last years 1/2 Ironman, I did well then, so I hope it brings me good luck on Sunday. I'm being a little superstitious.
I made sure to use my new tri shorts, to see if they were causing the chaffing between my legs. Something is, and I'm not sure which shorts are causing it. I think it's from riding the bike, but I'm not sure, so I decided to use the new shorts as much as possible to ensure they are not the culprit. If they are, I'm going to have to get a new pair with a larger cycling pad before I leave. Although, Alice's biking zone cream is helping.
The rest of the night is tan night and to start packing night.
