Stats for the last 3.5 years of Training

For the past three days, I’ve been in a major funk and I’ve really appreciated all the supportive comments from my blog buddies.

This morning I woke up and the minute I opened my eyes I felt like a new man. It was like a huge weight was lifted. My mood had switched from night to day and I couldn’t believe how quickly it shifted.

I got a call from Al Nolan this morning, asking me how I was doing. He was reading the blog and saw I was in a funk. He had some really supportive words of wisdom on a couple of levels.

I can’t stress enough how the support I’ve gotten through friends and the blog community has been great. Today after reading all the uplifting comments I said to myself, “this is perhaps the greatest benefit of having a blog, the support network”.

Today was a big day, I completed my 2009/2010 blog book. I should say my TWO books. This year the posts were much longer and I laid out the pictures larger this year. Each book documents 6 months and between the two there is a total of 880 pages.

Off and on its taken me about 40 – 50 hours to prepare the books and I think this year they are going to be my best work. This is my third season creating a book from my blog posts and I keep getting better each year. It was really cool laying out the book and re-living the experiences. Some of the things that happened this year seemed like a lifetime ago. I also realized I’m most of the time on the go doing something.

The last thing I had to do before I could submit the books online to Blurb was put together this years training stats. The numbers were interesting, they include 12 months from December 1st, 2009 to November 30th 2010. The detailed spreadsheet is my picture of the day. Some of the highlights included: ...
