Hi Marie,
This may sound incredibly boring (as it did to me at first) but having good sleep hygiene can be really helpful. This means having a routine and sticking to it every night. Take away stimulants such as being on the internet, watching tv or movies, don't drink caffeine for an hour or so before bed. Go to bed at a set time every night and if you can't sleep try reading for a while, that helps make my eyes tired, or try listening to some soft relaxing music. It used to take me hours and hours to fall into a decent deep sleep and that was with medication as well to make me sleep; now I find that so long as I stick to a routine that's the same every night my sleeping has really improved. You might also want to think about buying a new mattress for your bed if you are finding it uncomfortable at all.
Hope that helps a little and I wish you all the best :)
Marie,
To add to what is suggested by our friend, I would like to give you certain home remedies for sleeplessness.
1. Have warm milk with honey before bed time. Chamomile tea is also good.
2. Practise breathing techniques like Brahmari pranayams. Tons of videos on Youtube you can learn from.
3. Avoid getting affected with stress and anxiety. Do regular exercise, pranayama and relax!
4. Set the temparature just right, shut off light and noise! Remember not to drink too much fluid after 8 pm.
Sleep tight!

I'm 18, female. Whenever I go alseep, it takes me up to 2 hours to finally lose conciousness. I tend to wake up several times during the night at random hours. No matter how long I sleep for I still wake up as tired as I was before. I never remember my dreams !!
