Who’s Positive is proud to announce the formation of a national HIV-Positive Speakers Bureau. This bureau will assist anyone seeking HIV-positive speakers for lectures, conferences, colleges, high schools, etc. to help humanize the stories of those infected or affected by HIV. It is hoped that by sharing the stories of those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS that we’ll help to encourage and provide opportunity for people to empower themselves to know their HIV status.
Who’s Positive is currently seeking to contract individuals & couples who identify as HIV infected or affected to submit their stories, no longer than one page, contact information and a picture to firstname.lastname@example.org . Who’s Positive will begin a selection process and invitations will be offered to those who can articulate their stories, emotions, and feelings associated with being infected or affected with HIV/AIDS.
Our official website for the Speakers Bureau is currently under construction and will be officially launches in the coming months. “I’ve wanted to do this for years says Tom Donohue, founding director for Who’s Positive. My travels and conversations with people infected and affected across the country reaffirm that people do want to talk about their stories, they want to help humanize their stories to the point it becomes a prevention tool. Who’s Positive is the perfect liaison and outlet for people infected and affected to share their stories.”
Watch for more information and an official launch coming soon. If you or someone you know is interested in an HIV-positive speaker contact email@example.com .
