I'm a 35 yo female. I recently had an axillary lymph node removed because it was growing. It was soft, painful and movable. Two pathologists looked at it and both of them said it appears that I have been exposed to HIV because of the structure. My HIV test was negative and I have not been at risk of contracting it. What other problem could cause my lymph nodes appear to have HIV? I do not yet know the details of the exact structure problem. The node was not cancerous. thanks
