I have recently been exposed to hiv 6 weeks ago. i went on PEP 5 weeks ago and have been off PEP (post exposure prophalaxis) for about a week. I am having a rash on my neck, and chest/stomach and face and a scar like lump on the right side of my neck. I had an HIV DNA and RNA test done 7 Days after the exposure and both were negative. of course all rapid tests have still been non-reactive to this point. The weather is changing and i think maybe "ATRIPLA" can explain the rash on neck but the rest have appeared after i stopped taking the meds.
Questions:
Can you show me definitive pictures of what HIV rash looks like as well as a swollen lymph node in the neck?
Could the lymph node appear like a scar?
Though i was currently taking PEP 7 Days Post Exposure is it true the DNA test should be accurate in that time frame?
Is there any test i can take at this point that will be almost absolute "HIV Serology" "HIV DNA", "HIV RNA PCR"?
What is a Serology Test and how soon is it conclusive?
Are their any laws pertaining to individuals knowingly spreading HIV to those who are not HIV Positive?
NOTE: I had several exposures within 10 days prior to starting PEP which was gay male both insertive and receptive. My biggest worry is that i was not within the Guidelines for PEP (not receiving within 72 hours of exposure) the HIV Positive Source has known his status for about a year and is currently NOT taking any medications.
