Botswana will celebrate 40 years of Independence in September.  The community formed an independence day committee and they decided to upgrade our Kgotla.  They are building seats around all of the trees and putting up the customary tree poles that signify a Kgotla.  They are also putting up poles to mark the perimeter of the meeting area.  The headmen along with members of the community worked very hard to make the upgrades.  There will be a big celebration at the Kgotla on September 9th.  We’ll make sure that you see everything that goes on.
