Featuring: an exhibition of original Tom of Finland works and a very special silent auction.
Don't miss this special one-night-only exhibition of 21 original drawings by Tom, which have never been seen in New York.
Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served
Five works by Tom of Finland (1920-1991) were purchased by the Judith Rothschild Foundation, and have been included in a collection of 1,500 significant drawings compiled by the Rothschild Foundation which were gifted to the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York in 2005.
This is an exciting and rare opportunity to see 21 of the best pieces from such a talented and influential artist. Tom's work has not been seen in New York since the eighties when he was represented by Feature Gallery in Soho. This is the premiere NYC showing of these works from the Foundation's Permanent Collection. The work of Tom of Finland has inspired generations of artists, designers and queer pop culture. He was truly a Master of his craft. --Nelson Santos, Associate Director of Visual AIDS
