Senior Nurse Gaokwale asseses TB patient

Senior Nurse Gaowkale assesses a patient with Tuberculosis (TB).  Nata clinic currently has 40 patients coming to the clinic everyday to take their TB treatment.  Unfortunately some of the patients have a negative reaction to the treatment.  This patient was having a swelling of her face and lips and a persistent itching on her body.  She will be sent to Gweta Hospital for assessment.  There are only four treatment options for our TB patients.  Its important for our patients to take their medication correctly as there is

always a chance for drug resistance to occur.  Contracting TB can be a result of living in cramped quarters and sharing sleeping space with many people.  It is not uncommon in Nata for 5 or 6 people to place mats on the floor and sleep together in one rondavel.  If one member of the family has TB, its not long until the other members contract the disease.  Of course, people with AIDS are more likely to contract the disease due to their suppressed immune systems.  Dont miss your chance to WIN 10 hours of private jet travel from Microsoft Office Live
