It was only 6 months ago today that we made our first post on this website.  It’s amazing to me what we have accomplished in such a short time. If any of you have worked in the developing world, you know how difficult it is to get anything done. We want to thank all of our donors and all those people who have left comments and encouraging words on the website. In just six months, we have formed the Nata AIDS and Orphan Trust. Our mission statement, goals and objectives are currently with our attorney Mr. Llecha who is forming the trust pro bono. We held a launching for the website and received coverage in two national newspapers and 1 national radio station. We have purchased benches and fans for Nata Clinic, uniforms for Ntwakgolo Support group, provided transport money for People Living with AIDS, and are about to make our largest purchase to date of a sound system for Mabogo Arts and Culture Productions. We also have plans to provide for our orphans and people living in destitution. We also have two readers that are planning trips to Nata and we will cover their visits on the blog. And to think that all of this happened because a big hearted traveller named Jon Rawlinson met a Peace Corps Volunteer who connected him with a village willing to try something new to help fight this terrible pandemic. Nata made history being the first village in Botswana to have a website. We hope as time goes on, more people will discover the site and learn how our village is trying to win the battle of HIV/AIDS. This website has really given a boost to our village. Thank you!
