Nata Cultural Tours are a hit! Originally uploaded by natavillage.
The second group of travellers with Acacia Overlanders visited Nata on June 9th. This tour was completely managed by local guides Basipo Maseko, Golebaone James, and Seloma Tiro. Oipokile Gaokwale, Sr. Nurse at Nata Clinic gave an informative talk on the HIV/AIDS situation in Nata. What started out as bi-monthly tours has now turned weekly and may soon be several times per week. The Acacia tour operators report their guests really enjoyed their Nata experience and will be sending more guests our way. The most wonderful thing about his is that all the proceeds are going to the Nata AIDS and Orphan Trust which will ensure that Nata Orphans and People living with AIDS will benefit. Travelers pictured above are watching Mr. Tiro explain the local plants, foods, and cultural traditions of the area. Mma Joto placed a variety of local items on a table for all the visitors to see. Thanks to all our guests and especially to those who made extra donations to Nata Clinic. We especially want to thank the people of Nata for opening the doors to the village for the good of all. You are appreciated.
