As the Artist in Residence at HIV Edmonton, an ASO in Edmonton Alberta Canada, Ted Kerr collaborated with queer and queer friendly artists to create an ongoing collection of postcards based on things that he has noticed as a queer man.
The sex positive, harm reduction based postcards represent a more holistic lifestyle approach to HIV prevention among msm communities. Each postcard contain a thought provoking phrase backed up with a bit of writing and a visual on the front of the card and then more helpful, yet playful information on the other side.
The cards will be distributed informally around Edmonton in both obvious and non-obvious queer venues including bars, bathhouses, galleries, dance studios, stray bathrooms, clothing stores and record shops.
As the Artist in Residence, Kerr is committed to creating dialogue within Edmonton’s gay, bisexual, two-spirit and men who have sex with men community.
