Dramas are an effective tool in HIV/AIDS education

The dramas that Mabogo Arts and Culture Productions are performing are so

important in the fight against HIV/AIDS. This particular drama was about a

village "moruti" (pastor) insisting that HIV/AIDS can be cured through

prayer and by throwing cleansing water on the patient. While most people

believe that faith plays an important role in their lives it is very deadly

when people refuse to take ARV's because a "moruti" has told them they don't

need to. It is important to educate pastors and traditional healers on the

importance of testing and using the proven methods of treatment.
