Cattle are everywhere in Nata

The cattle industry is one of the largest industries in Botswana. Lucky for us, we can buy filet mignon for about 2 bucks a pound. It’s the same price as ground beef. It’s awesome. The locals don’t even like it as they say it is too soft and there isn’t any fat or bone on it. That’s just fine with me. And we don’t just buy little pieces of filet, we buy the entire 2 to 3 kg filet right off the side of the cow. Sorry about that for you vegetarians out there. Headman Oatile is often seen in the village on horseback rounding up his cattle and moving them to new pastures. He’s an excellent rider and his horse is named jukebox.
