I have a german shepard mix with a lab and recently he has experience really dry hair down his lowefr back. I don't know if its the shampoo we're using or if its the weather. I have a not a clue of what the cause could be? Do you recommend a visit to the vet?
Thank you!
Need help ASAP. My Boston Terrier had an emergency C-section/spay early this morning and is not doing well, is slipping away. Gums and tongue are white. PVC was a 26 and has now fallen to 19. They are suggesting blood transfusion. We cannot do another $1000, but want to save our cherished pets life. We have to bring her home, what can we do to nurse her back, or can she even be nursed back w/out transfusion??
It's difficult to help you without knowing more about your pet (dog or cat). Her breed, her age, any recent history of trauma, other health problems would all help to give a better idea of your situation. If this is a dog, one of the most likely problems would be an irritation in the lower back--the lumbar area. Other considerations would be impacted or infected anal glands, damage to the tail, or some distress in her abdomen.
