
Congrats on the normal Triglycerides! And kudos for being able to take the niaspan for 8 months.
You can talk to your doctor about stoping the niaspan to see what your triglycerides do. But if you haven't made significant diet and/or weight changes (if you need to), or if you are a diabetic and your sugars are the same as they have always been, then not much will change with your blood, and as soon as you stop the niaspan, your Trig will go back up.
It would be nice if the niaspan "cured" your triglycerides, but it just doesn't work that way, sorry!
