I was a tornado tourist yesterday afternoon after school. My daughter had told me where to go so I set out to make a big circle home. I made the first turn correctly, and saw some damage. The tornado went from one hilltop to the next leaving mangled trees and missing roofs in it wake. I headed on down the road but missed the next turn. From there, I knew my way home. I spoke to my daughter and she told me where I went wrong. Less than a mile from my home she said for me to check some more damage. I had no idea. It is unreal how bad it is and so close to us. Even after a week of cleaning up it still looks awful. I continued down the road and miss a turn again. I ended up having to get my GPS out to get home. Even ended up in the same town I had only been in 30 minutes before. An hour and a half later and 20 dollars in gas gone, I went home.
