I have used Coumadin due to a heart condition for several years and have had some nosebleeds which required trips to the ER. I've been cauterized several times, but each time the doctor said it might not work because of the coumadin. And I have had bleeding periodically afterward.
I recently was told about a product that is designed to stop that bleeding. It is called Quikclot Nosebleed. I looked at the website (Quikclot.com) and they make a number of different versions of their products which are gauze pads which has something in it that stops bleeding. I ordered the nosebleed product and the last time I had the problem, I rolled up the gauze pads and put them in my nostrils and pinched. After a couple of minutes, the bleeding stopped!
