Q: What side effects can we expect from taking statin drug for lowering cholestrol? If yes, what should we take or do?

 My cardiologist says there is only muscle pain as side effect of statin drug for cholestrol lowering, but it is said now by others that it reduces coenzyme Coq10 which causes heart problem and other problems.

So what should we do? Do we need to take a suuplement of CoQ10?

Or, shuld we stop taking statin?

Please advise.
