You don't mention how long ago you had your heart surgery. But it takes between 6-8 weeks for the breast bone to heal. The chest is spread open so the surgeon can work and then wires it back together. So, it's not unusual to experience some discomfort along your ribs. Sometimes the skin can also be tender because of nerves that were cut during the procedure. That just takes time. Certainly mention this to your surgeon. I don't know what medications you're taking. Something like Tylenol may be sufficient as long as it doesn't interfere with your other meds.
