For months, my husband has had sternum pain with exertion or strong emotions. He just had an EKG that showed a dip at the inferior lateral T-wave. The doctor ordered an imaging stress test (cardiolite), but we have a $3500 deductible and the test is $2500, so we cancelled until we have more info. Our fear is we'll pay $2500 and the test will be inconclusive and/or lead to another expensive test, and then another. Should we just go for a heart catheterization to begin with?
