Had an extreme pain in my chest, left side, which was a constant and deeping compression. Do I need to worry?

Posted by Wondering

I am a 56 year old female in extremely good shape.  I was on HRTs for about 5 years and started having high blood pressure (which I never had before) and an irregular heartbeat which made me talk to a cardiologist two years ago.  He did various tests which showed no significant problems but took me off the HRT and no diet food (sodium).  My blood pressure improved and so did the speed up slow down of my heart worries.  I recently was at the gym and after a weight workout and some cardio I stretched and sat down for a minute.  All of the sudden I had a pressing feeling on my heart (left side of my chest) that became so heavy and compressing I thought that maybe I might not make it.  It only lasted maybe 30 - 45 seconds.  I had no sweating or nausea.  Afterwords I was extremely fatigued and went home and slept and experienced nothing else other than having to constantly go to the bathroom.  Do I need to worry about it?
