I am VERY happy to report that it looks as though going to gym and working out does indeed help to lower my blood pressure!
The blood pressure monitor at the gym has been broken for the last 2 weeks (GRRR) so I went for a checkup at the doctor’s on Sunday not knowing what to expect. I did feel a bit better, but that is no real indication of what was happening in my veins.
And here are the results….
My first reading is always high (and we were rushing off to a kiddies birthday party), but the next two (each taken 5 minutes apart) have me really excited!
My systolic pressure is now sitting in the “high normal” range and the diastolic is basically where it should be as far as I know! This has made me even more motivated to keep up with the swimming and the other exercising than before.
Someone said to me today “There’s not much that eating right and exercising can’t fix” and I think he might just be right at that…
